Job description:
As kitchen manager you are responsible for:
- Managing the kitchen crew and shift responsibles
- Training new crew, e.g. students
- Communication with crew, suppliers and other parties
- Orders & stock management
- Commercial eye when offering suggestions
- Guarding the quality of our service
- Order & cleanliness in the kitchen
- Optimising workflow & organisatin in the kitchen
- Planning (and follow-up depending on the weather and crowds)
- You work with a shift rseponsible who can also order with suppliers, but you remain the end responsible.
Competences:
- Yiou have experience in the kitchen or a strong affinity with cooking - Our dishes are easy snacks, easy to make. Our menu is more or less the same throughout the season. You can cook fresh delicious soup or a salad during Summer.
- You are a natural leader with a strong sense of responsibility. You'll work with a predominantly young team: many student work for us during Summer, so you'll need to adjust and explain regularly.
- You are cool under stress - you perform even better under stress ;-). During Summer, it can be quite busy which means you need to delegate and keep your calm.
- You are flexible - you're not afraid of unregular hours, especially during the high season (April until September). During peak moments you'll work a bit longer, during calmer moments you might stop a bit earlier. Weekend work is a given.
- You work independently and think practically - you like rolling up your sleeves and handling things!
- You have strong communicative skills - you are in direct contact with clients, suppliers, and crew.
- You have a commercial & client-oriented attitude - our priority is client satisfaction! A new suggestion on the menu keeps our menu attractive.
- You have a positive appearance – your smile shines on our clients!

- Contract of limited duration (1 March until 31 October)

- Optimising the work flow
- Communication with crew, suppliers and other parties
- Orders & stock management
- Commercial eye when offering suggestions
- Guarding the quality of our service
- Order and cleanliness of bar and terrace area
Competences:
- You are a natural leader with a strong sense of responsibility
- You are cool under stress - you perform even better under stress ;-)
- You are flexible - you're not afraid of unregular hours, especially during the high season (April until September)
