Surf & Kite Performance
Surf & kite performance is a session in which Liesje Van Meenen* will focus on what surfers & kitesurfers really need: strength, control, and quality of movement, without straining the body.
This is not a classic "workout”, but a training which supports the body instead of exhausting it. Many surfers train pretty intense already (or have peak load in the water), so this should help them move and perform better.
The focus is on:
Functioal strength
Especially the lower body and core - essential for stability on the board and injury prevention
Mobility
Hips and thoracic rotation – crucial for turns, posture, and efficient movement in the water
Control & stability
Balance, coordination, and body control – direct transfer to surf & kite
Flow & movement sequences
Inspired by surf movements (such as pop-ups & rotations), but controlled and building technique
Nervous system regulation
Breathing & recovery – so that people not only get stronger, but also recover better
Practicalities:
- 60-minute training
- Small group - quality and personal guidance with max. 10 participants. The session is on as of 5 participants
- Built up in blocks of 4 weeks - you can enter at the start of a new block
- Accessible for both beginners and more advanced surfers/kitesurfers. We'll train in levels for each exercise.
Price? €90 per person for 4 sessions
Where? On the beach at Surfing Elephant
When? Every Wednesday from 7pm till 8pm, as of April 8th
